June 6th – Next CHNA meeting

Minutes from May 2, 2007 meeting

4th of July float – July may seem like a long way off but in reality we have 2 months to design and construct our float. If you are interested in designing or creating the float, the committee is meeting on Tuesday, 5/15 at 6:30. Please contact Lisa if you are interested in attending kirby994@verizon.net.

Art in Carillon Woods - We have several pieces brought to us from the Kirkland Cultural Council. We reviewed the pieces and narrowed down the selection. The majority of votes were to have something that can also be used as a bench. Next step is to review our choices with the artist. The money for this comes from the Neighborhood Connections grant from 2006.

BNSF/bike trail/Sound Transit – As seen in the April 27th issue of Seattle Times http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=lightrail27e&date=20070427&query=BNSF+Sound+Transit , Sound Transit is now thinking of getting in the game for the BNSF line  http://www.soundtransit.org/x5513.xml . Sound Transit II is expected to be on November ballot.

Hope to see you at the next CHNA meeting.
