Captain Ursino will join us to share the latest information from the Police Command Staff and will answer questions at the beginning of the meeting. If approved, the ballot measure will increase the Kirkland local sales tax by 0.1 percent to fund increased police services focused on property crime, additional school resource officers, funding for a dedicated mental health professional to assist the Police Department, and other programs. During the core of the meeting will hear from Christina Brugman on Emergency preparedness. This will include guidance on what each of us can do to be ready for natural disasters, what to expect, and overviews of City and other programs. We also will provide information on the neighborhood safety program, development projects, capital improvement projects, and the results of our CHNA survey and meeting schedules. ![]()
